Monday...

I have begun to hate Mondays. When I was in Bangalore, working for Infosys, it didn't mattered whether it was a Sunday or a Monday or any other day. Now, I am in Pune, close to home, every weekend I go to Mumbai and hence looking forward for weekends. But, when I wake up on a Monday morning, I just don't feel like going to office. Hence, I have started to take a lot of leaves on Monday, giving lots of excuses. But, this is not the case with Tuesday. On Tuesday, I wake up early so that I can be to office on time. No irritation, no frustration.

Sometimes, I feel that we should just get rid of Mondays and instead have a 6 day week, with 4 weekdays and 2 weekends :). I know this would make an year to end fast and that in turn would make us age faster (ladies wont like this :P), but we can compensate with having more weeks in a year. With this we would be having many happy people in office, working (slogging) happily, knowing that its just 4 days before we have the weekends.

Many people would have had this crazy thought in their minds at some point in their lives. Well, I am going through it, and hoping that it ends soon.

EDIT: The phase is over, now I dont get those lazy bugs when I wake up on a Monday...hurrah... :)

Terrific win for India...

India played really well to level the series 1-1. The win is sweeter because it was our depleted bowling attack,  which under constant criticism, came good and made sure the batsmen had less to score on a fifth day with pitch not spitting venom.

The main highlight being VVS Laxman's batting. At one end where Sachin was battling hard, Laxman scored freely and hardly seemed to be troubled. His strokeplay is exemplary and is breath-taking to watch him play those strokes.

Apart from Dravid and Gambhir, everybody came good in this series. Batting seems to be good, it will take either a splendid bowling or an ordinary batting to bring their downfall.

After the tests, we are heading towards the more exciting one-dayers, with New-zealand joining as the third team for the Tri series. This should be a very good preparation for all the 3 teams for the world cup. India should be happy with the schedule for the rest of this year alongwith the start of next year before worldcup as they play the most number of ODI's (18).

In England, Pakistan seems to be going through the same story again. Their batsmen had no clue against the pace and swing of English attack, mainly spear-headed by James Anderson. Pakistan really has to blame themselves. Hopefully, with Md. Yousuf back in the squad, middle order seems to be bolstered.

Looking forward to a great cricketing year before it culminates into the grand extravaganza, i.e. the World Cup.

Is anything real?

Human beings have 5 senses is something which we are taught in school. Those 5 being  taste, sight, touch, smell, and hearing . However , ...
